“ I see expression, not gender ”
About
Yunus Chkirate’s signature work focuses on expression and creating a tie to the observer, invoking the sentiment that is felt at the moment of his work’s creation. This same sentiment gives him the urge to create yet manifests itself into impetuous artistic anxiety. He paints in acrylics, using bold, expressive color layered with thick impasto. The use of acrylic paint as a preferred medium is due to the short time in which acrylic paint dries allowing him to communicate his ever-changing frame of mind.
